About
The Mental Health Journey

We believe that awareness of our life experiences—the good, the bad, the ugly—can all be used to help develop healthier thoughts and behaviors. Painful childhood experiences, ongoing life stressors, overall sadness and life dissatisfaction are unavoidable aspects of life’s journey. These moments allow us to realize that we need to heal.

We believe true healing occurs when the mind, body and spirit are all in alignment.

At any moment, we can find ourselves experiencing any stage of mental health. Knowing where you are and what you need is key to optimal wellness.

Let us help you figure out HOW to heal.

01

Overall Wellness

Overall wellness refers to a state of mental and emotional well-being where an individual is generally content, manages daily stressors effectively, and experiences a good quality of life. It includes practices that promote a healthy mind, such as self-care, stress management, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

02

Psychological Distress

Feelings of unease, sadness, anxiety, or emotional discomfort that may arise due to life challenges, stressors, or specific events. It is a common human experience and can often be managed through support, coping strategies, and self-help techniques.

03

Psychological Disorder

A significant disruption in an individual's thoughts, emotions, or behaviors, affecting their daily functioning. These disorders can include conditions like depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and more. They often require professional assessment and treatment.

04

Severe Mental Illness

Severe mental illness refers to conditions that severely impair an individual's ability to function in daily life. These conditions include schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and severe personality disorders. Treatment for severe mental illness typically involves a comprehensive approach, including therapy, medication, and specialized care.

We can help you determine whether you are experiencing overall wellness, psychological distress, or a psychological disorder. This assessment can guide you in seeking appropriate care.
